New York Laser & Skin Care is proud to announce that Dr. Arielle Kauvar has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Founded in 1970, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) is the largest and most influential dermatologic surgery organization in the country with nearly 5,000 members. Dermatologic surgeons have pioneered the development of safe in-office procedures to treat skin cancer as well as minimally invasive cosmetic procedures for skin and soft tissue.July 12, 2010

At the annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology which place in Miami this month, Dr. Kauvar lectured on the use of photodynamic therapy for skin rejuvenation, laser treatment of pigmented lesions and tattoos, and presented a paper on nonablative fractional lasers for skin resurfacing. She was also honored at the meeting for her work as Chair of the Communications Council for the past five years.February 15, 2010
